Most of the songs on this album were written during the two years (1999-2001) that I lived in Russia, or just after I returned. Although I have many newer songs, I chose to record the best of my older songs first, since they fit together as a coherent project.
Although I accompany myself live, I chose to focus on the vocals while recording In It for the Drama. The talented Sean Dennehy lent his skill on accoustic guitar to 7 of the 10 tracks. The piano tracks accompanying "Waterlilies", "Different Tides," and "Fourteen in the Year 2000" are by Sammy James.
