"The Burren Project" is the brainchild of local independent producer Sammy James. He asked 14 regulars of the Burren Tuesday night open mic to record one song each with him, resulting in this fun and eclectic compilation. All songs are produced by Sammy James, and on each one he shows off different techniques and a unique vision. Each Tuesday evening there are fourteen guaranteed slots. All of the artists on the album have paid their dues waiting in line for 2 hours or more for one of these slots. That's the significance of having 14 tracks on the album. My name appears on the album as Jacyn Locke, a name I used when I first started performing in the Boston area. Click here for more about that name. My track is a synthesized techno-y version of "Without Words" that you'll never hear anywhere else! I was bitten by the recording bug while working on this project, and eventually recorded my first album with Sammy.
