Chiemi got the idea to organize a "Folk Chic Night" after many nights of being one of a very few women at Boston area open mics. I was honored to be invited, along with Holly and Pam Steinfeld.
Holly's three-piece band "Hill" is up and coming, and sure to be a success with her powerful and versatile voice, Bill Johnston's masterful guitar playing, and Deep C keeping the beat on djembe. Deep also accompanies Chiemi.
I had not had the pleasure of hearing Pam, a nationally recognized singer songwriter, before that night. I was impressed by her insightful lyrics, which sometimes made me laugh out loud at the truth in her observations. You won't regret checking out Pam's work here.
Folk Chic Night shaped up as a wonderful night. The Sky Bar is a beautiful venue. The sound system is crystal clear and masterfully operated.
